19th Century Chinese Export Canton Rose Mandarin Vase #2
Chinese export canton famille rose vase, mid-19th century.
Dimensions: Approximately 10¼” tall.
Decoration:
The body is covered with a white glaze and decorated with flowers and sacred objects.
There are two large panels showing domestic scenes each with a gilt Greek key pattern border.
Below and between these are vignettes of individuals who appear to be children. Two similar vignettes are on the neck.
There are two gilt lion handles on the neck and the base of the neck is decorated with gilt chimera.
The base is unmarked.
