19th C Chamberlain Worcester Chinoiserie Cup and Saucer - "Chinese Figures"
Chamberlain Worcester porcelain cup and saucer decorated with Pattern Number 767, “Chinese Figures” c. 1816.
Dimensions:
Saucer: Approximately 5½” diameter.
Cup: Approximately 2⅝” tall and 3⅜” diameter.
Both the cup and saucer are decorated in a fantastic, colorful Chinoiserie design with figures, buildings, trees, and flowers. Significant amounts of gold are incorporated into the design.
The coffee cup in this variation of the pattern has a ring handle.
Although unmarked, the design is Chamberlain patter 767, which is also referred to as the “Chinese Figures” pattern.

Godden notes that the cost of the gold and gilding of this pattern exceeded half the total manufacturing cost.
In excellent condition consistent with age and usage.
