Rose Mandarin Bowl
Chinese export famille rose bowl, circa 1875.
Dimensions: Approximately 11⅝” diameter x 5” high.
Decoration:
The interior and exterior rim is decorated with a band of flowers, peonies, and butterflies with cartouches of birds and flowers.
The interior is decorated with four panels with scenes of Chinese figures on verandas and alternating with four panels with images of Precious Objects. The scenes are outlined with a border of gilt Greek keys with inserts of flaming pearls.
The center is decorated with a similar scene of Chinese figures.
The exterior has two panels of similar gilt Greek key bordered scenes separated by two panels with images of Precious Objects within which is cartouche of a Chinese figures.
A band of flowers and peonies surrounds the foot.
The base is unmarked and bears the remnants of an old label.

Condition: Minor wear to gilding and enamels; otherwise in excellent condition consistent with age and usage. Please examine the photos; they are part of the description.
